Activities

To help you get acquainted with our activities, we’ve provided an explanation of a few of the more frequently mentioned activities:

Show & Tell: At almost every meeting we put aside some time to share our work. Any time you want to show us what you’ve completed, just bring it to a meeting. We just love seeing what everyone is up to!

Community Service: We try to support our community by giving back when we can. We make quilts for Hospice at the Southington Care Center, pillow cases for Paul Newman's Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, quilts for the residents of The Summit, mastectomy pillows for Hartford Hospital and quilts for the Southington Police Department. We have also made donations to the Prudence Crandall Women's Shelter, the Salvation Armies Men's Shelter in New Britain and Katrina victims in Mississippi. We hold periodic workshops to work on these!

UFO New Year's Resolution: Each spring our members make a New Year's Resolution to complete a UFO(UnFinished Object). We have a trunk show at our February meeting of everyone's UFOs and prizes are awarded.

Each year the Program Committee tries to put together programs that will teach & interest members. We hope all our members will get involved in different activities. It’s a great way to learn more about quilting & the special skills that our own members have to share! So join in and have fun!!!
